The thrills and excitement in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) will continue today with Match-Day 11 games to be played at all but one league center.
Seven games will be played with the encounter between Liberty Professionals and Medeama SC at Dansoman postponed as a result of the latter’s involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Berekum: Berekum Chelsea vs Hearts of Oak
Accra Hearts of Oak will travel to the Brong Ahafo region to face the might of Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park on Sunday.
The Phobians are wounded lions going into this game, after losing the super clash with bitter rivals Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.
Hearts will be out to protect their unbeaten away record as they seek to end the good run of Chelsea at home. Chelsea has won all their five home games and will not like to bow to a Hearts of Oak side that lost their last game in the GPL.
It should be a game for fans in Berekum to savour and observers will hope it leaves up to its billing as the top-liner of the weekend’s run of games.
Techiman: Techiman City vs Wa All Stars
Techiman City will host league leaders Wa All Stars at the Nana Ameyaw Park in a game they will look to protect their unbeaten home run on this, their debut season in the Ghanaian top-flight.
All Stars lost their last encounter 0-1 to Medeama SC at Tarkwa last Sunday, and will not like to lose for the second game running, knowing they could be overtaken at the top should results go against them.
Obuasi: AshantiGold SC vs Bechem United
Defending champions AshantiGold SC will hope to return to winning ways when they welcome Bechem United to the Len Clay Stadium at Obuasi. The Miners have not won in their last two games and will be out to make amends in this encounter.
United have lost all their away games this season, and, it will be difficult to see how they will address this situation as they visit the home of the champions.
Kumasi: Asante Kotoko vs Ebusua Dwarfs
Kumasi Asante Kotoko will be home at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi for the visit of Ebusua Dwarfs on Sunday. The Porcupines will be buoyed by their slim 1-0 win over Hearts of Oak in Accra on Monday, and will look to post another win in this tie.
Dwarfs have had a poor run in their away encounters this season, as they have picked just one point from their five games. However, they have found memories of the Baba Yara Stadium, and, would be inspired to perform against Kotoko.
Dormaa: Aduana Stars vs Dreams FC
Aduana Stars have won their last three games, and, they will be in confident mood when they welcome debutants Dreams FC to the Nana Agyemang Badu II Park at Dormaa.
They are the form team in the GPL at the moment, and will look to make things difficult for Dreams FC at their favourite venue.
Sogakope: WAFA vs Inter Allies
Relegation threatened Inter Allies will make the short trip from their Tema base to Sogakope to play the academy boys of WAFA at the Red Bull Arena.
WAFA have won four and drawn one of their five home games, and will be difficult hosts for an Inter Allies side that has not won in their last three games.
Essipong: Sekondi Hasaacas vs New Edubiase United
Sekondi Hasaacas will seek to return to winning ways when they welcome New Edubiase United to the Sekondi Stadium at Essipong.
They have lost their last three games and will be out to make amends against a United side that has not lost in their last three.
