Swansea’s Andre Ayew Quashes Exit Rumours

Ghanaian international forward, Andre Ayew has dismissed reports suggesting he is unsettled at Premier League outfit Swansea City, insisting that he is more than happy to stay at the Liberty Stadium.

The Black Stars Vice Captain has been a revelation since arriving at the club from Marseille on a free transfer last summer, and his form has sparked rumours linking him with a move elsewhere.

But speaking in an interview, the 26-year old says he is not concerned by all the rumours and is just focused on Swansea for now.

“I am at Swansea and I am happy here, everything is okay but in football you never know what can happen,” Andre Ayew said.

“I am playing my football here at a good club with good people around so I just want to continue doing my job. Whatever happens will happen.

“I have a contract here so if it’s here I am going to continue playing my football, then good. If not, then at the end of the season you have a chance to discuss and see what happens.

“But I am happy to be a Swansea player and happy that the fans adopted me very well. It makes me try to give my best every time”, he added.

Liverpool, Tottenham, Sunderland, Newcastle and Saturday’s opponents West Ham have all shown interest in Ayew in recent times with some reports suggesting that Swansea may consider cashing in on the player, who has bagged 10 league goals this season.
