The nation was brought to halt for two hours when Ghana’s two most successful clubs, Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko faced off for the first time in the 2015/16 Ghana Premier League (GPL) season on Monday.
The fans that made their way to the Accra Sports Stadium was a pleasant sight for a league that seems to be improving gradually but the little over 30,000 spectators in addition to those who watched on television is a testimony that the GPL is not ‘as dead’ as being publicised.
