Isaac Mensah Thanks Hearts Fans For Overwhelming Support

Sensational Isaac Mensah feels the joy and loudness of Accra Hearts of Oak fans during their games have been overwhelming helping the team to great achievements this season.

Hearts of Oak currently boast of seven unbeaten away games this season in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) competition and with one last away game to come be against Dreams FC on Sunday before the first round ends, Mensah believes the fans have played a big role in the achievements of the team this season.

On match-day 13 at the Dormaa Park, Hearts fought and earned a valuable point to retain their place on top of the GPL log with 25 points from 13 games.

Even though Hearts will play its next home game against Liberty Professionals behind closed doors, Mensah has called on the club’s followers to make their presence count on the last day of the first round when they make the relatively short journey to Dawu to play Dreams FC in the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ on Sunday, 29 May 2016.

According to the young Mensah the point earned at Dormaa was a reward for another week of hard work which the fans must be credited for, playing a good role.

“It was a great game, very intense and emotional. It was one of the biggest games we have played this season. Not many gave us the chance to walk away with a point or even win but at the end of it all we stood firm and focused and played according to the strategy from our coaches who helped us a lot”.

The winger was not particularly happy with the pitch which he said somehow affected their play especially in the early minutes of the game.

“The pitch was not in the very best of conditions. It affected the beauty of our play so we needed to adjust to ensure that we walked away with something to show”.
