Italy based Ghanaian youngster Prince Emmanuel Besea suffered demotion to the Serie C after a final demolition away to Novara.
The Modena midfielder came off the bench in the final fifteen minutes in a 4-0 thumping at the hands of Novara to end their status as a second tier club.
Modena made the trip in the final day showdown in search of three points to secure their status in the division but a first minute red card to Simeone Gozzi dashed their hopes.
Felicio Evacuo opened the floodgates from the spotkick four minutes after kick off before 3 second goals condemned Modena to third tier football next season.
Emmanuel Besea came on for the vanquished side in the final 17 minutes for his 8th appearance of the season.
Modena finished the season on 42 points from 42 games including 22 defeats and 3 points adrift of safety.
