Sportscrusader.com Team Of The Week

The Sportscrusader.com Team of the Week is an initiative introduced by the fastest growing sports web portal in Ghana to demonstrate how Ghanaian players perform for their various clubs abroad.

To set the records straight, as we have always done, players are selected based on the following criteria:

1. The Coefficient of the league they play

2. The competition they are in (If they are not playing league matches)

3. Consistency

4. The competition they face from other players playing for the same position.

5. The positions they play

6. The number of minutes played in the game, and

7. The contribution of the player to the success of the game.

Andre Ayew signed off his deadly debut season in English football with another strike at home to Manchester City to keep his rightful place in the team of the week for the last time in the season.

The Black Stars vice captain opened his campaign with a strike at the Standford Bridge and signed off in grand style with another strike at the Liberty Stadium against Manchester City.

Ayew is joined up front by Jordan Ayew who look destined for a Premier League return despite his side ending the campaign with a championship ticket.

On loan Chelsea winger Christian Atsu came off the bench to score his second goal of the campaign in Malaga’s heavy triumph over Las Palmas on Sunday.

Baba Rahman and Samuel Inkoom take their rightful places on the wing-backs on either side of John Boye and Jonathan Mensah.

Alfred Duncan keeps his place in the team for the third week running alongside Enoch Adu Kofi of Swedish side Malmo.
