Nathaniel Asamoah, a target for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, is reluctant to join the Porcupine Warriors, Sportscrusader.com can confirm.
The Porcupine Warriors tabled GH¢ 40,00.00 before their prime target for the attacking department of the team, an offer he is yet to respond to whether to reject or accept.
Asante Kotoko coaxed him to accept the offer which they are not ready to go beyond, and the former Medeama SC forward gave them no response, but rather confined in interim coach, Michael Osei.
Sportscrusader.com understands that Nathaniel Asamoah told Michael Osei he is ‘not match fit’ and is not ready to work under pressure.
According to sources, he said Kotoko fans will expect him to hit the ground running and he can’t fulfill that due to his lack of game time.
Coach Osei promised to integrate him into the team gradually, but Nathaniel has already made his mind not to join the club.
The hierarchy of Kotoko believes he is not happy with the offer, but they are also not ready to go beyond what they have on the table.
The management are considering turning their attention solely on Saddick Adams, but the GH¢ 150,000.00 tag on him is scary.
