Why Hearts Perform Poor At Home

A Board Member of Hearts of Oak, Frank Nelson Nwonkwolo has revealed why the team perform better when they play away from home.

The Phobians has won more away games (4) after 14 matches in the Ghana Premier League (GPL), one more than Asante Kotoko and Dreams FC.

However, results at home are contrary, with the ‘continental masters’ losing three of their seven home matches, with latest being a 1-0 loss to Liberty Professionals on Thursday.

“I think the players feel comfortable playing away from home. At home it’s like they are under pressure to perform which is why they are struggling at home,” Frank Nelson said on Asempah FM.

Hearts are second on the league log after 14 matches. Their next fixture is on the road to Dawu to face Dreams FC who has lost only one game at home.
