GFA Boss Delighted With New Cape Coast Stadium

Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi, the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has expressed his delight over facilities at the newly constructed Cape Coast stadium.


The 16,000 sitter edifice was constructed by Chinese firm Jiang Xi International Corporation and was fully financed by the government of the People’s Republic of China following a request by the late professor John Atta Mills, Ghana’s ex-President.


Construction works on the new stadium was completed earlier this year and following its official unveiling ceremony on Tuesday May 3, the ground will now be available to the general public.


Present at the unveiling ceremony was Mr. Kwesi Nyantakyi, the President of Ghana’s football governing body who expressed his delight at the facility.


“I am really impressed with the facilities and I am certain that we will enjoy memorable moments here” the GFA President told reporters in Cape Coast.


“This adds to stadia we have already and it is all in the direction of helping improve the playing ground for the game. To be frank I am very much impressed with the edifice”, Mr. Nyantakyi added.
