Portland Timbers and Ghana Black Stars goalkeeper, Adam Kwarasey has been ruled out for five weeks after he tore ligament in the finger during a league game.
The former Stromsgodset safest pair of hands was initially expected to miss only four weeks when he got injured in April, but club officials have confirmed the Timbers shot-stopper could be out until early July.

Kwarasey’s absence adds to Avram Grant’s headache as captain, Asamoah Gyan is also nursing injury as he readies to name his squad for an upcoming international friendly against Guinea on May 28 in France.
The Ghana shot-stopper will be out much longer as he is expected to be available for Ghana’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mauritius in September.
