Exclusive : David Atanga Joins German Second Tier Side FC Heidenheim

Austria based Ghanaian youth international David Adoona Atanga has joined German second tier side FC Heidenheim ahead of the new season.


The Salzburg attacking prodigy excelled in the Austrian second tier league with FC Leifering to earn himself global recognition at the end of the campaign.


The pocket size playmaker won the Austrian Bundesliga with Salzburg but was farmed out to the developmental side Leifering in search of regular playing time.


The Black Satellites attacking sensation racked home an impressive 10 odd goals in 23 appearances for the developmental side Leifering to add to his 10 other outings for salzburg.


The 19 year old swapped Austria for Germany and has inked a one year loan deal with FC Heidenheim in the German Debunsesliga.


The Bolgatanga born dribbling magician will remain with the Germans until the summer of 2017 with an option of returning to Salburg in December


FC Heidenheim placed 11th on the second tier league with 45 points from the 34 league matches honoured including 11 wins and 11 defeats.


A statement from FC Heidenheim reads, ” we have observed David Atanga already and now glad that he has decided for us.


David is adaptably useable as an offensive midfielder and brings special qualities to the team “.


The Red Bull Academy graduate is expected to join his new club mates for the preseason ahead of the 2016/17 European season.
