Gold Stars Confident Of Securing Premiership Qualification

GN Bank Division One League (DOL) side Bibiani Gold Stars remains hopeful of securing qualification to the Ghana Premier League (GPL) next season.

Gold Stars are second in Zone Two of the DOL at the half way point of the season, eight points behind the leaders Elmina Sharks.

However, the Miners are confident of overhauling that deficit when the second round of the league begins.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the club, Nana Adu believes they can beat Sharks to the sole ticket from the zone to the GPL at the end of the season.

Mr Adu said: “We are not ruling out our chances of qualification yet despite the eight point’s deficit between us and Sharks and we will fight on till the end”.

“We want to overtake them, we know it’s possible and we will work towards achieving that in the second round of the league”.

He expressed confidence in his players and believed that they will rise up to the challenge in the second half of the campaign.

Gold Stars will open their account in the second round with a home game against Achiken FC, a side they lost to (1-3) in the first round.
