NBA Finals Preview : Golden State Warriors vs Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavaliers and Warriors begin their NBA Finals rematch on Thursday from Oracle Arena at 9:00 PM ET. Tune into the game on ABC, WTAM 1100 or 87.7 FM La Mega. FOX Sports Ohio will carry both pre and postgame coverage, with the pregame show starting at 7:30 PM ET.

Cleveland is an NBA-best 12-2 (.857) this postseason, which includes a 5-2 (.714) record on the road.


Through the first three rounds, the Cavs have outscored opponents by a combined 177 points (1,497-1,320), which is tied with the 1985 Lakers for the 2nd-


biggest margin entering the NBA Finals. The biggest through three rounds is +180 by the 1987 Lakers. (Elias Sports Bureau)


In what expects to be a high scoring matchup, among the 16 playoff teams, Cleveland ranks 2nd at 106.9 points per game and is undefeated at 12-0 when scoring 100 points or more this postseason.


 


Not only are the Wine and Gold hitting on all cylinders offensively, but they are also putting in the dirty work defensively and on the glass.


Defensively, the Wine and Gold have allowed 94.3 points per game, which include holding foes to under 100 points in 11 of their 14 games this postseason.


The Cavs are outrebounding opponents, 43.0 to 37.1 (+5.9), the 2nd-biggest differential among all 16 postseason teams.


After a historic regular season which saw them record an NBA record 73 wins, the Golden State Warriors have had to battle their way through the Western Conference.


The Warriors have posted a 12-5 record during the 2016 Playoffs and had to come back from a 3-1 deficit to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the West Finals to advance to their second straight NBA Finals.
