Ex-Black Stars midfielder, Bernard Yaw Kumordzi, was sent off for his Belgian side, Genk, in their 2-0 defeat to Buducnost.
The lanky midfielder received his marching orders in the 75th minute with a straight red card in the heated contest.
Genk succumbed to a 2-0 deficit in the opening 40 minutes to throw away their first leg win in an eventual 4-4 aggregate score line.
A first minute strike from Radmoir Dalovic was followed by a stunner from Milos Raikovic to tie the aggregate scoreline for the Montegrins.
Genk however booked a place in the last stage of the UEFA Europa league via the lottery of shootouts.
The Ghanaian could miss the opening matches of the continental football festival if Genk seals a place in the gruop stages.
