The Hearts of Mithlothian central midfielder lasted 81 minutes for his Scottish side in an eventful 1-2 home reverse in the European tie.
Hearts slummped to a surprise home defeat in the return leg after posting an advantageous 0-0 stalemate in the away fixture.
Their Ghanaian talisman, Prince Buaben, registered his fourth European appearance of the season in the surprise setback as goals from Christian Bubalovic and Edward Herera ended the Hearts’ European dreams.
Buaben made way for Don Cowie with 9 minutes to go, and will have to wait till next season for any form of continental football after crashing out at the penultimate stage.
The 28-year-old registered a crucial goal in the first round qualifiers at home to Infonet in the opening matches of the season.
