Portugal based Ghanaian midfielder Alhassan Wakasu guides Rio Aves to the quarter finals of the Taca de Portugal.
The 23 year old midfielder starred at the middle of the pitch for the high flying Aves in a 3-0 thumping of Estoril in the last eight of domestic cup.
Rio Aves transcended their impressive league form into the cup match to seal a last four place at the expense of the spirited Estoril.
Wakasu lasted the full throttle in the last eight tie to book a quarter final berth in the traditional Taca De Portugal. The defensive midfielder screened his back four with a plumb to add to his attacking threat at the opposite end.
An early strike from Tarantini was compounded by further goals from Filip Krovinovic and Brazilian Edinar for the home side in the demolition exercise.
Alhassan Wakasu, the junior brother of Mubarack Wakasu, has since managed 19 appearances with one strike to his name for Rio Aves across all competitions.
