Beach Soccer Returns On February 13.

Ghana Beach Soccer League will return on February 13 after a successful meeting by the Ghana Beach Soccer Association gave the green for the second round to commence.


The national beach league has been on hiatus after the first round since December last year, and the Beach Soccer Association met for an emergency meeting to clear the dust at Accra on Wednesday.


The decision was arrived following an emergency meeting of the Beach Soccer Ghana executives in Accra.


Many issues which has affected the association in one or the other and contributed to the delay on the start the second round were deliberated and had the approval of executives of the association.


The Executive members of the association agreed to for-go all outstanding hitches that were either encountered in the first round.


Clubs were also tasked to nominate at least one non-coaching member of the technical team to Ghana Beach Soccer Association communications platform.


In all, ten issues were discussed to get tge way forward for beach soccer on the country.


FULL LIST OF DECISIONS REACHED:

1. Cancellation of all outstanding issues from last season and round one.


2. Dissolution of the league board.


3. Formation of an interim league management board (IMB) to run the league till the end of the season.


4. Clubs to nominate one non-coaching representative on the GBSA communications platform.


5. Main platform to comprise of only executives and administrators.


6. Forging firm beach soccer partnerships (sponsorship, general development and media) as well as establishment of Beach Soccer Awards.


7. Dissolution of Black Sharks (National team) Technical team.


8. Formation of new technical team to oversee selection of players for the 2017 AFCON and World Cup Qualifiers.


9. Committee to take charge of beach soccer nationwide outreach (sponsorship, awareness, training and infrastructure).


10. Ghana Beach Soccer Association partnership with Ghana Football Association (GFA) to create a stronger beach soccer league, national team and assist with technical /infrastructural development.
