Danish side FC Copenhagen have accepted the £6m fee for Ghanaian international Daniel Amartey, FootballCrusader can report.
The Liverpool target will fly to London for Leicester medical on Saturday, sources have said.
The 21-year-old versatile player has long been targeted by several premier league sides but Leicester seems to have won the race after Copenhagen agreed the proposed £6m bid on Friday.
Leicester have already agreed personal terms with the Ghana AFCON 2015 star who has won 7 caps for his country.
King Power stadium officials are now preparing to fly Amartey to London for a medical as they look to get the deal completed by the weekend.
The Danish champions confirmed in a statement on Thursday that they have received an official bid from Leicester for the Ghanaian.
“There has been rumours in the press about FC Copenhagen considering selling Daniel Amartey to the English club Leicester City,” read the statemen from FC Copenhagen
“FC Copenhagen can confirm that we have received an offer on Daniel Amartey from Leicester City FC. Right now there’s talks between the two clubs. We will send out a new press release if a final agreement is reached.”
Amartey, who has been linked with Liverpool in the past, has had stints with Swedish side Djurgardens.
