Berekum Chlesea and Medeama SC have concluded agreements for the transfer of 25-year-old defender Paul Aidoo to Medeama SC for the next football league season.
Aidoo played vital role for Berekum Chelsea in the just ended premier league and he is expected to replicate that feat with the Tarkwa-based club in their quest to play in the 2016 Caf Confederation Cup, and other local competitions.
Aidoo was part of the Chelsea’s squad that won the 2011 Ghana Premier League before joining Gungoren B.S at Istanbul Gungorenspor in 2011.
He rejoined Chelsea in August 2012. Aidoo captained the Ghana U17 side that placed 4th in the 2007 FIFA World Cup in South Korea, and was one of the key defenders for the Berekum-based club in the just ended premier league.
He appeared 22 times and scored 1 goal, and assisted 2 in the 2014-2015 season as the club finished fourth.
According to the communications director for the club, Isaac Amponsah ” Aidoo’s card was released on Monday January 11 even though he played for the Mauves in the just ended First Trust GALCA G6 tournament.”
