Kenichi Is Not Fit To Manage Hearts Of Oak – Nettey
Hearts Of Oak cannot boast of the same caliber of players who used to don the rainbow colours. The Accra based team have not won the league for 7 – years now and the club doesn’t seem to drive towards reclaiming the lost glory as has been the theme since celebrating its 100th anniversary.
The 20 – times Ghana premier league champions finished the 2014/15 season in 13th place and thanks to superior goal difference avoided dropping into the second tier of Ghana football known as ‘division one’.
Accra Hearts of oak floated shares about 4 – years ago on the Ghana stock exchange for individuals, stakeholders etc who are willing to buy shares come on board and help run the club professionally. Togbe Afede XIV ended as majority shareholder and has been running the club since then but many have questioned his vision and mission.
The millennium (Hearts) club have parted ways with all the coaches signed under Togbe’s tenure and none has been able to serve the full extent of their contracts.Club legend and former player, Mohammed Polo replaced former Black stars captain C.K. Akunnor who was the first managerial casualty.
Controversial and outspoken coach, David Duncan took over but was also sacked before he could end the season was replaced with interim boss, Nii Noi Thompson. Coach Herbert Addo returned to the club for the second after previously guiding the club to a second place but he was not second time lucky as he parted ways after just 6-months in-charge.
In an exclusive interview earlier today with club legend and former defender, Jacob Nettey, he said, “Kenichi Yatshuashi is not qualified to coach hearts, His tactics are like an area select team led by one of their own colleagues”.
Hearts recently arrived from Libya whee they lost back-to-back to Al Ahli of Tripoli.
