The Chief Executive officer of Wa African United Nana Dwamena that he will place an injunction on the start of the new Ghana Premier league season.
The Ghana Football Association on Thursday confirmed February 20 as the date for the commencement of the league.
Techiman City and Wa African United were both demoted to the second division after the Ethics Committee of the Ghana Football Association foubd them guilty of match-fixing.
Techiman City appealed the decision and were granted stay of execution until the the Ethics Committee investigate the happenings.
The legal process ia still on going, but FA has given Techiman City the nod to participate in the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League whist they deliberate on the issues at hand.
And Nana Dwamena believes starting the league without trashing out legal issues is inappropriate and he will place an injunction on the league soon.
“My interest is not who plays in the league and who will not, I only want sanity to prevail in our league not that I do not want Techiman City to play in the league,” Dwamena told Asempa FM.
“Very soon I will be heading to court for the right to place an injunction on the league until the right thing is done,” he revealed.
Mr. Dwamena believes that from now till the day the first match will be kicked, there is enough time to handle matters at hand and put everything to bed.
“I think from now till 20th February we have lots of time and so we will certainly go to court. I have lost interest in football administration because of the poor organisation of the competition in the country.
Nana Dwamena also alleged that people are making efforts to induce him to drop his intention to drag the FA to court, but he won’t.
“There’s no way I will leave this case though people are trying to bribe me to give up on the case but trust me they attempts will not stop from going to court for the right thing to be done. ” he added.
