North West African Cricket Conference T20 Invitational Tournament Postponed

The North West African Cricket Conference invitational tournament has been postponed again to June/July instead of its original April/May schedule due to the host, Nigeria’s engagement in ICC qualifiers.

The tournament which is for Seniors will be hosted by Nigeria but the postponement has been necessitated because the West African Country are preparing for an ICC WCL div 5 qualifiers at the farmers Cricket Club ground, in Saint Martin on May 21.

The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) are therefore uncertain with a particular date for the tourney which will see Ghana, Sierra Leone, Gambia and Mali battle for the swiftest.

The Senior team of Ghana were supposed to have left the shores of the country on April 25 for the tournament which was originally scheduled to start on April 27.

However, Ghana’s National Cricket Team continue to train at the Achimota Cricket Oval in anticipation of the Tournament.
