SportsCrusader.com has gathered that, the Chief Executive Officer of GN Bank Division One League side Okwawu United, Mr. Francis Anom is set to resign from the club.
His decision to resign from the Nkawkaw based club was necessitated after a section of the supporters assaulted him physically during their league encounter with rivals King Solomon last weekend.
The veteran football Administrator was attacked when he tried to calm down angry fans who have delayed the game.
After the incidence, Mr Anom took to social media to express his displeasure about the action of the Okwawu United supporters who decided to take the law into their own hands.
According to him, he sees nothing wrong in trying to inquire from his team manager about why the team were starting with ten men instead of the 11.
However, the supporters couldn’t understand him which lead to the ugly incidence.
Okwawu United have since been charged by the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association for the action of their supporters during the Week 10 encounter.
