Former Accra Great Olympics head coach, Ken Augustt has called on Ghana Premier League (GPL) clubs, to be patient with their quick judgement of coaches when team performances takes a ‘nose dive‘.
The 2015/16 GPL season has seen arguably the most casual season for coaches as the 11-week old season, has seen five managerial casualties namely, Bechem United Kwame Opuni. Herbert Addo of Inter Allies, David Duncan who Kotoko has asked to ‘step aside’, Nuru Ahmed the first coach to leave his post after just three games and recently beleaguered Medeama SC coach, Tom Strand.
Augustt who was dismissed from his post as Olympics coach after a poor ran of results has fallen victim to board room decision knows exactly
“Coaches need time to find tune their teams as the coaching job has become dynamic in relation to tactics and formations and as such it is about time club officials exercise a little bit of restraints and constraints and be patient with them (coaches) in their line of duty.”
