Major League Soccer based Ghanaian attacker Kwadwo Poku opened his season’s scoring account to rescue a point for NYCFC away to Toronto FC.
Kwadwo Poku shot NYCFC into an early lead before their hosts levelled the scoring just before recess.
The former Atlanta and Wellington forward has been restricted to just five appearances under French trainer Patrick Vieira for the league leaders.
The 24 year old striker however capitalised on the rare start handed him by his trainer with a sizzling performance good enough to earn him much more playing time in the coming days.
Spanish forward David Villa replaced the Ghanaian with 15 minutes left on the clock ahead of the New York derby over the weekend.
