Ghana Premier League side, Medeama SC are considering taking legal action against Coach Tom Strand who left the clun unceremoniously after their 3-1 defeat to South African club Mamelodi Sundowns in the first leg of their CAF Confederations Cup Play-off.
The 33-year old Swede trainer went missing from the team’s hotel in Pretoria last Saturday, leaving behind a resignation letter to the surprise of Medeama officials.
The Tarkwa based club later learnt through Strand’s local agent that the coach had arrived in his native Sweden.
But speaking in an interview on Tuesday, President of Medeama SC, Mr. Moses Armah revealed that his outfit have referred the matter to their solicitor, Emmanuel Larbi Amoah, for advice.
Mr. Armah also revealed that Coach Strand has sent him text messages containing an unqualified apology and a plea for a second chance to make amends.
According to him, Strand explained he needed to see his family back home but still insisted on being given yet another chance to do a better job with Medeama.
However, the Medeama President hinted that, Strand will not be allowed any chance lead the Mauves and Yellow claiming that the Swede had already blown up several opportunities given to him in the past.
