Impressive Assifuah Powers FC Sion Into Top Four In Switzerland

Ghanaian forward Ebenezer Assifuah steered his Switzerland based FC Sion side into the top four on the standing after a hard earned 2-1 win over the high flying Young Boys.


The 2013 U20 FIFA golden boot winner enjoyed a productive day at the office despite drawing blank upfront for his ambitious side.


The 23 year old center forward however illuminated the Tourbilon Arena for Didier Tholot side in their fully deserved triumph over the second placed Young Boys to move within one point of European slot on the log.


Assifuah managed an impressive eight goals in his 48 appearances this season as they continued their search for a UEFA Champions Leagues spot at the end of the season.


The Ghana youth International had a goal bound shot denied by the upright before Belgium midfielder Gio Bia tapped home for his second goal of the season.


Reto Ziegler opened the scoring for the high flying Sion before Hoarao leveled matters for Young Boys.


The Ghanaian forward and his FC Sion side, could seal a spot in next season UEFA Champions League if they can triumph in the remaining four matches left.
