Wa All Stars dropped points at home to Sogakope based WAFA SC in a 1-1 thriller.

A harmless back pass from Ganiu eluded his goal keeper Ofori who whipped the ball into corner kick which eventually resulted in the equalizer. Togolese import Komlan Agbeniadze capitalised on poor communication at the back to score the first goal from a visiting player in 486 minutes at the Wa Park. It proved to be the difference between the two sides in a thrilling final half hour.
The two teams came out for the second department of the game rejuvenated and pumped up headlined by the visitors custodian Razak Abalora.
Flurry of shots aimed at his goal were all handled with ease in a one sided second half of the clash. Saddick Alhassan came closed to opening his season account but was denied by the upright after flooring Razak.
The promising Agana added more bite to the attack but way wide shooting and inspired goal keeping denied Wa All Stars the winner.
The host dropped to third place on the log ahead of Sunday’s trip to Obuasi for the clash with Ashgold.
