Karela FC sensational forward Sampson Eduku is relishing the prospect of repeating his goal scoring form in the second tier league after notching a quartet of strikes in one game.
The young attacker stole the headlines nationwide when he registered half of the eight goals scored by his side in a landslide win over Tarkwa.
The former Sekondi Eleven Wise rampant attacker shared the glory with his teammates and promised repeating the feat along the course of the campaign.
The confident speaking Karela FC attacking prodigy credited his goal scoring feat to the technical orientation of his trainer Frimpong Manso and the total team play from his colleagues.
Speaking to sportscrusader.com ahead of their weekend game, the young forward played down any unrealistic target for the season but pledged to repeat the feat some where along the season.
“I personally cannot set a target for myself at the end of the season in terms of goals tally. I scored four goals in one match but what transpired on the pitch goes beyond Eduku ‘s goals since it was a collective effort from my team mates,” he said.
“The assistance from Frimpong Manso as our coach has been immense and it is the reason why the goals came that many. It will be nice to repeat the same goal tally some where across the season but I am not bent on doing it as at now,” Sampson told sportscrusader.com.
Karela FC extended their fine run of form in the GN Bank Division One League with the 8-0 thumping of Tarkwa United in their search for top spot in the zone.
The young attacker won his club’s player of the year and the top scoring accolade last season in their missed attempt at promotion to the top flight.
