Jordan Ayew Set To Play Under Roberto Di Matteo

Black Stars attacker Jordan Ayew look set to play under English trainer Roberto Di Matteo ahead of the new European seasons.

The 24 year old enjoyed a personal impressive season in an otherwise bleak campaign for his relegated Aston Villa in his maiden season in the premiership.

The Ghana international announced himself to British football with six odd strikes in a toothless Villa side that ended it’s premiership status for the first time in over years.

Management of the relegated Aston Villa however parted ways with their interim trainer Remi Garde ahead of the imminent arrival of Roberto Di Matteo.

The London based side initially pulled the trigger on Tim Sherwood before mutually ending their relationship with Remi after their demotion to the second tier of English football.

A recent change of ownership has however breathed a new life into the 1982 European Champions with an imminent arrival of the ex Chelsea boss.

Di Matteo rose to fame with his UEFA Champions League winners medal at the Stamford Bridge but has since failed to replicate the European feat.

A boggy spell at Bundesliga side Shalke 04 remains the only major stint for the English trainer ahead of his return to London.

A reported 35k Euros a month remains the only stumbling block to an official confirmation by the championship side.

Jordan Ayew could however steer his way out of the Championship with a host of clubs interested in his services ahead of the summer transfer window.
