Copa America: Chile Set Up Argentina Final After Semi Final Win

Reigning Copa America Champions, Chile breezed past Columbia to set up a repeat of last year’s final clash with Argentina.

Chile eased into the final after a 2-0 win a spirited Columbia side to give themselves a realistic chance in their title defence.

Two first half goals from Charles Aranguiz and Jose Fuenzalida proved to be the match winner Joan Antonio Pizzi’s men at the Soldier field.

The cup holders saw off Argentina on home soil to lift the continental bragging rights but will have to play a perfect game to stop a Lionel Messi inspired Albacette side looking for silverware.

The only 1986 world cup winners spanked USA 4-0 to book their final berth whiles Chile’s 7-0 demolition of the El Tri should send shivers down the spine of the free scoring Argentines.
