Hearts Were Ready To Make Adams Most Expensive Player - Sowah Odotei

Accra Hearts of Oak were ready to make Saddick Adams the most expensive player in the history of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) according to Vincent Sowah Odotei The issue is not money.

The Strategy Committee chairman of the club, said, the Phobians had agreed personal terms with the Berekum Chelsea striker and were going to make him the highest paid player in the country until Chelsea said he was no more available.

Mr Sowah Odotei wrote in his Facebook Wall that the player (Saddick Adams) can to contacted to show a copy of the pre-contract agreement they (Hearts) signed with him.

“The issue is not money. We were prepared to spend GHc 180,000 on Saddick for only 49% of the economic rights up to August 2016 and 69% up to 31 January, 2017. That was how much we tried to get him,” he said.

On other potential players the club tried to sign, Mr Sowah Odotei said; “For Malik Akowuah, we signed a pre-contract with him, only for Medeama to convince him to stay. We were going to pay him double what he gets at Medeama”.

Headeed; “Togbe Afede XIV was prepared to pay for all these; We are silent because recruitment is a cloak and dagger affair so until everything is secured you have to be careful”.

“I would want everybody to remember that, Hearts has the highest paying club in the country with some management members and Togbe Afede XIV investing a lot of money”.

“The gate proceeds from Kotoko was only enough for one month recurrent expenditure.

The club is in the best shape it has ever been for a very long time”.

“I hope people would use the appropriate tools and systems to assess the club not emotions,” he concluded.
