Who Is Elvis Manu?


 


Elvis Manu, born in Dordrecht to Ghanaian parents is a Dutch-born Ghanaian professional footballer who currently plays for Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Championship as a winger.

Manu, has represented the Netherlands from the U-16 through to the U-21 age groups and on August, 2015 changed natoanality to represent Ghana-country of his parents.


The 22 year old came through Feyenoord’s youth academy, Manu signed a professional contract with the club in 2012. Manu made his professional debut for Feyenoord on 26 February 2012, in a 2–3 away defeat to PSV.

His first professional goal came for the club in a 2–3 away victory to Heerenveen, in Feyenoord’s final game of the 2011/12 season.

Manu broke into the Feyenoord first team during the 2014/15 season, becoming a regular for the club and scored his first senior team goal against Beşiktaş in the Champions League third qualifying round. The young forward made 32 appearances in 3 – years for Feyenoord and scored 8 – goals in total.

In August, 2015 Manu signed for Brighton and Hove Albion for an undisclosed fee. He made his Sea gulls debut in a 0–0 draw, away to Wolverhampton Wanderers on 19 September 2015, coming on at half-time.

He has made 8 – appearances for the championship side and his recent appearance was in Brighton’s 0 – 1 defeat at home Wolverhampton wanderers (same side he made his debut) on new year day.

Elvis Manu on June 2015, switched his national alliegance to Ghana, whom he qualifies for through his Ghanaian heritage, he is yet to play for their national team.
