Withdraw From GHALCA - JY Appia Tells Clubs in Brong Ahafo.

The former Ghana League Clubs Association president J.Y Appiah has hinted that clubs in the Brong Ahafo region will withdraw their membership from GHALCA after alleged discriminatory by Alhaji Ali Raji.

Alhaji Raji, incumbent chairman of the association is reported to have made stereotypical comments prior to the Medeama-Aduana Stars final group B encounter at the just ended G-6 invitational tournament in Sekondi.

Alhaji Raji denied making those comments however, he apologized to the chiefs and people of Dormaa.

But J. Y Appiah, a former administrator in the Brong Ahafo region has called for clubs in the region to withdraw their membership from GHALCA due to the damming remarks by Alhaji Raji.

“We the clubs in the Brong Ahafo have spoken to each other and have resolved to withdraw from GHALCA. How can you label those from the Brong Ahafo region as villagers?” The disappointed former Bofoakwa chairman quizzed on Accra-based radio station, Happy FM.

“Then you go ahead to say how can others sit aloof while Aduana Stars take the G-6 trophy to the village. This was confirmed to me by Albert Commey. GHALCA is an association so we are free to join and withdraw at any time.” he added.

Chief Executive Officer of Berekum Chelsea, Nana Kwame Nketiah confirmed his club has already met and concluded that they will withdraw from the mother body of all premier league clubs in country.

“The board of Chelsea has met and concluded that we are withdrawing from GHALCA following the denigrating comments passed by Alhaji Raji on those of us from the Brong Ahafo region.” Nana Kwame told on Happy FM
