Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Premier League side Wa All Stars, Mr Oduro Nyarko has debunked public assertions that players of his team are not called up to Ghana’s National teams on merit.
There have been growing public assertions that Wa All Stars players are only called up to the National teams due to the influence of the President of the Ghana Football Association, Mr kwesi Nyantakyi who is also the owner of the Wa based club.
And speaking in an interview on an Accra based radio station, Asempa FM on Thursday, CEO of the club, Oduro Sarfo denied those claims insisting that every Wa All Stars Player in any National team is there purely on merit.
According to the veteran football administrator the current form of his side shows the form of their players and it vindicated their inclusion into respective National teams.
Oduro Sarfo further indicated that anyone who thinks players of Wa All Stars are receive National call ups due to Nyantakyi’s influence are just being mischievous.
Wa All Stars have been impressive in the first round of the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League and are currently occupying the summit of the log despite having played a game more than second place Hearts of Oak
