Ghana Premier league leaders, Wa All Stars, confirmed their title ambitions with a 3-1 win over Dreams FC.
The Wa-based side, eased to a landslide win over their visitors with a blistering treble from Emmanuel Ocran.
The hosts came out of the blocks chasing an early goal and comical defending at the back handed them a spot kick just five minute into the game.
A miscommunication between goal keeper Mozart Adjetey and his back line, allowed in Asuandzie Baffoe, who was later tripped by the shot stopper.
Emmanuel Ocran kept his cool to open the scoring for the home team from the resultant spot kick.
The former Sammin FC attacker soon doubled his personal tally when he tapped home a goal bound shot from Asuandzie to give his side a 2-0 lead just 11 minutes into the game.
The one way traffic continued with Ocran missing clear chances that could have finished off the tie before recess.
The visitors however found a way into the game when Ben Nash Quansah pulled one back for the Dawu-based side with 15 minutes to recess.
A 2-1 lead for the league leaders handed their visitors a fighting chance, but Ocran’s third of the game took the wind out of their sail.
Matthew Kelvin Andoh was sent tumbling inside the box by a combination of Abdul Bashiru and his goal keeper, leaving the centre referee with no option but to point to the spot.
The protesting Basiru was sent-off for his dissent after the first booking before Ocran completed his treble with 14 minutes to end the game.
The visitors added more pace to their attack with Gawu making way for the speedy Amar but that elusive second goal will not just come.
Emmanuel Ocran became the second Wa All Stars player to score a hat-trick after Seidu Salifu at home to RTU, some 1, 365 days ago.
The leaders, thus opened a 3-point lead at the summit after Aduana Stars’ drawn game at Sogakope.
