Liverpool Handed Huge Injury Boost Ahead Of Leicester Clash

Sadio Mane is in line to feature for Liverpool against Leicester on Saturday despite fears he had suffered a knee injury while on international duty with Senegal, according to reports from the Telegraph.

The winger was substituted after an hour during his county’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Namibia, prompting fears that he may be unavailable for Liverpool’s coming games.

It was believed Mane had picked up a knee injury but reports claim his withdrawal was a precautionary measure from Senegal and that the winger has returned to training at Liverpool’s Melwood base unscathed.

It’s understood the 24-year-old is 100% fit for the Leicester game, which will be the Merseysiders’ first match at Anfield this season.

Jurgen Klopp reportedly phoned Mane personally on Sunday afternoon to check up on his fitness, which is a measure of just how important the £30m summer signing has become during his opening few months at the club.
