Andre Ayew Will Be Crucial For West Ham - Chief Medic

West Ham’s chief medic, Stijn Vandenbroucke, believes the Ghana’s Andre Dede Ayew will be a vital member of the team when he returns to action later in the year


The head of medical and sports science for the Hammers has been discussing the fitness of attacker Andre Ayew during a trip to the Ghanaian homeland of the summer signing.


The Black Stars attacker joined West Ham in the summer from Swansea City in a record breaking deal for the Hammers.


But Ayew picked up a serious thigh injury on his debut with the club against Chelsea and has since not featured.


Vandenbroucke who is currently in Accra,Ghana along with West Ham striker Ashley Fletcher as part of a sponsorship tour said.


“Andre is a great player and as a great player he is very important to the West Ham United family.”


“His comeback will be crucial but we believe it is a team effort and definitely we will turn things around.”
