Play In GPL Whilst Ethics Committee Deliberate On Alleged Match-fixing

Techiman City FC has been given all clear to play in the 2016 Ghana Premier League season despite the match-fixing allegations levelled against them during their Division One League match against Wa African United.

Sportscrusader can confirm that the Premier League Board has agreed to allow the debutants to take part in the league while the deliberations on their case continues.

Techiman City FC are scheduled to meet the Ghana FA Ethics Committee over allegations that they paid bribes to beat WA African United during their Division One campaign.

If they are found guilty, the club will be demoted but that will leave the Premier League with only 15 clubs whereas the league needs 16 teams to start the season.

Techiman City topped Zone I and it will join Ebusua Dwarfs and Dreams FC as promoted clubs for the new season.
