Satellites Management Committee Head Lauds Competitive GPLMangement Committee Chairman for the national under 20 side, Alhaji DS Yahaya, has lauded the competitive nature of the 2015/16 Ghana Premier league with three games to end the campaign.
The veteran football administrator, who doubles as the Regional Football Association president of the Upper West region, envisages a photo finish in the top flight.
The celebrated administrator, rubbished media claims that the league is boring, and pointed the impressive turn up at match centres and the global attention the league is enjoying as testimonies of its quality.
Speaking to www.sportscrusader.com on the Ghana Premier league, Alhaji Saadugu Daud Yahaya predicted a photo finish on the final day of the season.
“The quality of players in the Ghana Premier league defies the ‘no sponsor’ syndrome reported by many in the media.
“Yes, the league has no sponsor, but surely has a lot of quality players on board and this is the reason why many match centres are getting massive patronage.
“We might see a photo finish at the end of the season and a tight league log as well.
“To me, this season has been one of the best and the most competitive leagues in recent times,” Alhaji DS Yahaya opined.
Wa All Stars and Aduana Stars go head-to-head in the race for the Ghana Premier league trophy with three points separating the sides ahead of their clash at the Wa Park in the penultimate round of fixtures.
The Northern Blues lead with 48 points, 3 ahead of the 2010 champions after 27 rounds of matches.
