Ibrahim Musah Eager To Do More For Hearts of Oak

Striker, Ibrahim Musah says he is happy with his form at Accra Hearts of Oak at the moment and is eager to do more for the Ghana Premier League (GPL) side.


The marksman has scored three goals in the six games old GPL and believes he can deliver more for the Phobians in their quest to wrestle the premiership title this season.


Musah scored a brace coming on as a substitute in Hearts’ come from behind 3-2 victory over Inter Allies at the Tema Sports Stadium in a Match-Day Five fixture and followed it up with the solitary goal as the Phobians lost their unbeaten start to the season in the 1-3 defeat to Wa All Stars in Accra last Sunday.


The player expressed disappointment after their defeat to All Stars but believes it is a wake-up call for the side to respond.







“We were disappointed with the result in last Sunday’s game as we lost our unbeaten record, but, we will bounce back even stronger than before as we target winning the diadem at the end of the campaign,” Musah said.


“Personally, I am happy with my form having scored three goals so far, and, will continue working hard to improve on my sharpness in front of goal to propel the team to even greater heights,” he added.


“Goal scoring is the hallmark of every good striker and I hope to score more for Accra Hearts of Oak and do well at this football club,” he stressed.


Musah will hope to be part of the Hearts of Oak side that travels to the Brong Ahafo region on Sunday to play Techiman City in their next GPL game.

Injured Accra Hearts of Oak defender Inusah Musah Keita has started some light training sessions as he hopes to fully recover from the foot injury that has sidelined him for over three months now.


The central defender picked up the injury in training with the capital club during one of their sessions last December, and, has not featured in any of the club’s programmes since.


However, the good news is that he is back in training doing some light workouts as he hopes to regain fitness and back in the plans of the Phobians.


He played a pivotal role for the club last season, and, is rated highly by their new Japanese-American trainer Kenichi Yatsuhashi.


Musah told Sportscrusader.com that he hopes to make a full recovery to feature in the plans of the coach and the club as they target success this season.


Accra Hearts of Oak have made a bright start in this season’s top-flight league in Ghana, and, sit top of the standing after five games with 13 points with an unbeaten record to boost.

Ibrahim Musah Targets More Goals For Hearts of Oak

Accra Hearts of Oak striker Ibrahim Musah is atrgeting scoring more goals for the club after his cameo performance in last Sunday’s victory over Inter Allies at Tema.


The bulky striker came off the bench to score two late goals as the Phobians came from behind to win 3-2 at the Tema Sports Stadium to maintain their unbeaten start to the season and keep their leadership of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) after five games.


Musah said after the game that he was happy with the opportunity handed him by the technical team to contribute when the situation was tough.


He wants to repay that faith by getting in among the goals as often as possible to help the club attain their aim of winning this season’s championship at the end of the campaign.


“I was told to go into the game for a specific purpose by Coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi, and, this worked out to perfection, hopefully, this will continue on a consistent basis for me and the club,” he told the club’s official newspaper, the Hearts News.


“This has been a very special moment for me, scoring two important goals for Accra Hearts of Oak as we came from behind to win 3-2, and, I dedicate these to the coach and his staff for the trust they put in me,” he said.


He hoped for many more of such opportunities as the seasons continues and believed that if the team keeps playing the way they are, success will crown their efforts at the end of the campaign.
