The fourth edition of the National Women’s League which was set to kick off on March 19, 2016, has been postponed to April 17.
The new date is to allow the clubs complete their registration process after its expansion from 12 to 16 in the off season.
The new format of the competition will see eight clubs in each of the Northern and Southern zones competing for the right to the final showdown later in the year.
With less than four days to the initial kick off date, only four clubs had gone through the registration process successfully which has forced the National Women’s League Board to to reconsider a new date.
Northern ladies, Subaya Golden Ladies and Real Upper Ladies join the division from the northern zone qualifiers held in Tamale while Samaria, Halifax, and Bafana ladies complete the new arrivals on the southern sector.
Hasaacas Ladies, champions in the first three editions in succession remains the team to beat when the much anticipated fourth editions of the NWL kicks off on April 17, 2016.
