I. Allies Suspectes Foul Play In League Defeat

Inter Allies suspect something fishy happened between their goalkeeper and Accra Hearts of Oak in their 3-2 loss to the Phobians in their Match-Day Five fixture of the Ghana Premier League (GPL) on Sunday.

Goalkeeper Kwame Baah came on late for the second half and Willie Klutse, Technical Director of the club, alleges he suspects some Hearts of Oak officials might have influenced him which eventually led to them surrendering a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2.

The U-20 goalkeeper was on holiday until Hearts of Oak pounced late on to  record the win which saw them maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign as they lead the GPL standing.

Two of the goals he conceded by the goalkeeper, raised eyebrows for the Ghana youth international.

And Willie Klutse who was in the stands to watch his side suffer their first home defeat of the season, believes some fishy deals might have occurred during recess of that game.

“Before the second half, the goalkeeper was discussing issues of choice of jersey with the match officials and I don’t get it,” the 1978 Africa Cup of Nations winner told Accra based, Asempa FM.

“When he went to change his shirt in the dressing room, he came late and I am still wondering what he was doing there,’ he added.

“He delayed for about four minutes and I suspect that something went on in the dressing room when he went in to change his jersey, I can’t conclude but I need to find out what really kept him in the dressing room when his colleagues were already on the pitch, “he said.

“We will meet today in this and other issues, and, answers would be demanded on what happened,” he stated.

Players Fielded Against Liberty Below Inter Allies Standard - Willi Klutse

The Technical Director of Inter Allies, Willie Klutse has said that the team head coach Herbert Addo fielded against Liberty Professionals last weekend are not up to the standard required by the club.

Herbert Addo made as many as nine changes to the starting lineup that started against Aduana Stars, with reasons that he was protecting the players from injuries and further acquisition of yellow cards, and suffered a 2-1 defeat at the Carl Reindolf Park.

But Willie Klutse, the technical director of the Tema-based club, has revealed that the players were agitating for the opportunity to show the club their worth and that was the reason behind the changes to the set-up.

“There were a lot of rumours in the team amongst players who didn’t get the chance to play against Aduana Stars that they should also be given the opportunity to play for the sake of winning bonus,” the 1978 Africa Cup of nations winner told Accra-based radio station, Happy FM.

“And because we have Elite Cup, FA Cup, in addition to the league to play, we decided to test their strength against Liberty Professionals.” He revealed

He also noted that the output of the players is below what they expected.

“Per what they showed in the game, they are not up to the level we expected,” he said.
