GPL Match-Day 24 Preview: Dawu: Dreams FC v AshantiGold SC

Fifth placed Ghana Premier League (GPL) side, Dreams FC will look to bounce back from their 0-1 defeat at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi to Asante Kotoko in their last game when they welcome reigning champions AshantiGold SC to Dawu on Saturday.

And they will be in high spirits in trying to claim the three points against the defending champions as they beat the Miners 1-0 in the first round tie played at the Len Clay Stadium, Obuasi.

Doing the double over the four times Ghana champions will be an inspiration as they go into this battle, and, Coach C. K. Akunnor will want to pull a fast one over his former club.

Dreams FC have been very impressive on their debut in the Ghanaian top-flight league and they will look to keep that form going as they play AshantiGold.

The Miners are 11th on the table and have been in decent form of their own lately and, it is to be expected that they will not play with fear as they chase their second away win of the season.

They will prove to be difficult opponents for the home side especially so as they lost the first round tie in their own backyard.

Revenge will be on their minds as they go into this battle, and it will be interesting to see how they cancel each other out on the Akwuapem ridge.
