Nyantakyi Appointed To Serve On UG Sports Board

President of the Ghana Football Association Mr Kwesi Nyantakyi has been appointed to serve on the University of Ghana Sports Advisory Board.


The University of Ghana Sports Advisory Board is the highest decision  making body of the Sports Directorate.


The Board is chaired by the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic and Student Affairs) and is made up of the Director of Sports, Assistant Registrar at the Sports Directorate as well as representatives of the Ghana Education Service, National Sports Authority and other key individuals from the University of Ghana.


The core remit of the Board are the following:


1. To formulate policies towards the realization of the University’s strategic plans regarding Sports in its entire dimension recreational, health, competitive and academic.


2. To advise on the integration of sports as an academic discipline within the course credit system


3. To consider ways in which the Sports Directorate can be strengthened and enabled to effectively serve the recreational, health, competitive and academic needs of the University in particular and external public in general


4. To advise on the development and optimal use of prevailing Sports infrastructure with a view to maintaining at international levels.


Mr. Nyantakyi who is an alumni of the University of Ghana, will be expected to use his expertise and knowledge to help promote Sports at the University.
