2018 WCQ: Fifa Exco Member Addresses Black Stars

President of the Ghana Football Association(GFA) as well as newly-elected Fifa Executive Council member, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has received and addressed players of the Black Stars who have reported to camp ahead of their 2018 World Cup qualifier against the Cranes of Uganda on Friday, October 7, 2016.


 


A total of 21 out of the 24 players have arrived in camp, the remaining three; Jeffery Schulpp, Adam Kwarasey and Thomas Partey are due to join the team tonight.


 


After their first training session, which lasted two hours at the Accra Sports Stadium, Nyantaki said: “We have embarked on an important journey towards the World Cup in Russia in 2018, the match is a very crucial one and even though we have the experience of qualifying for the World Cup, this challenge is a different one.


 


“The expectation of every Ghanaian is that, we play and win against Uganda, to set the tone for qualification to the World Cup,” he concluded.
