Stars To Be Paid Bonus Arrears Before Uganda Match

Hon. Minister of Youth and Sports, Nii Lante Vanderpuye has revealed that the Black Stars will receive their bonuses for the Mauritius game before the World Cup qualifier match against Uganda on Friday.

The Black Stars defeated Les Dodos of Mauritius 2 nil in the penultimate game of the Gabon 2017 AFCON qualifier to book their tickets.

And after four months, the minister of the youth and sports has indicated that they are ready to honour bonuses owed to the players that partook in that match before they undertake the Cranes of Uganda in the first game of the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier at the Tamale sports stadium on Frinday.

“All the players that played in the Mauritius match will receive their bonuses before the Uganda match,” he said.

“We’ll pay the bonuses of this Friday’s match before our next game is played, if we win.”

The Black stars are drawn in Group E of the 2018 World Cup qualifier alongside Uganda, Egypt and Congo.
