Confidence Is High In Our Camp – Bechem United Coach

Kwame Opuni has praised the confidence level in the camp of his Bechem United side ahead of their Ghana Premier League (GPL) match-day two game with New Edubiase United on Sunday.

Coach Opuni said he is happy with their performance in their opening two games of the season after winning one and losing the other.

They beat Liberty Professionals 2-0 at home in their first GPL game of the season before losing 0-1 to Dreams FC at Dawu last weekend.

Bechem United return to the Bechem Park to play New Edubiase United on Sunday, and, Coach Opuni is highly confident of a second home win of the campaign.

He said after the team’s training session on Friday that, “the boys are ready to go and are fully focused on winning the three points on Sunday”.

“The confidence in the squad is something unimaginable, and, we hope to press home that advantage against a club that have not taken a point off us since we moved our home venue here,” he said.

His team he added “will be very difficult to breakdown in all the home games we will play this season as we target a higher position than what we produced last term”.

Coach Osei Wire, head coach of Bechem United has mentioned that if the Ghana Premier League is to commence today, his team is very ready for action.

Bechem United last Sunday beat the 2014/2015 Ghana Premier League champions 1-0 in a preseason inter-club friendly match played at the Bechem Park.

Their preparation as compared to the likes of Asante Kotoko, Hearts of Oak and Ashgold has been on the quiet, but on Sunday, they showed glimpses of what other clubs should expect from them in the coming season.

“We are ready, very ready for the start of the season and I can tell you on authority that if the league is to start today we will face any team boot for boot”, the confident Osei Wire told sportscrusader.com.

We have done a couple of recruitment and indeed some other players have left the team, but the new players are really doing well and we are not surprised with their ability to fine tune with the rest of the team”.

Indeed, I will admit that no team is 100% and indeed there will be a few lapses from time to time, but we are confident in what we have done so far and believe that we are on the right track”, he added.
