I"m not Obinim"s defender - Cwesi Oteng

Gospel musician, Cwesi Oteng has allegedly warned persons judging Head Pastor of the International Godsway Ministries, Bishop Daniel Obinim to desist from attacking the man of God.

The Head Pastor of the International Godsway Ministries has been sharply criticised after he claimed in a video interview that he has supernatural powers with which he transform himself into any animal in the spiritual realm.

He explained on his OBTV channel that he can transform into a snake and enter any room, bite his target and disappear afterwards.

Bishop Obinim said even though he is not an animal, he can spiritually transform into a snake or a dog and warned people not to dare him.

The controversial pastor revealed that he once transformed into a snake with Jesus by his side who also transformed into a lion and visited someone. These comments have been roundly condemned by large sections of the public.

In spite of these criticisms, ‘God Dey Bless Me’ hit singer, Cwesi Oteng is alleged to have said he does not doubt Bishop Obinim’s proclamations.

Cwesi is believed to have warned people not join the bandwagon of critics stating that such persons are satanic broadcasters.

According to sources, He said in a post on Instagram on Sunday that:

“THE ONLY WEAPON SATAN HAS AGAINST GOD’S [PEOPLE] IS SLANDER AND ACCUSATION, EVEN PEOPLE WHO DON’T KNOW JESUS AND ARE DEVELOPED SPIRITUALLY CAN TRANSFORM INTO ANYTHING, HOW [ABOUT] A PROPHET WHO SAYS HE CAN? WHAT OBINIM SAID I DON’T DOUBT [BECAUSE] I BELIEVE IT IS POSSIBLE. DON’T JOIN THE SLANDERERS, THEY ARE SATANIC BROADCASTERS. AND GOD BLESS OBINIM. SPIRITUAL THINGS ARE FOOLISHNESS.”

But in an interview with gospelcrusader.com this is what  Cwesi Oteng had to say :

The VI ultra edition of the "BASS CLINIC"

bass-clinic-finalIn 2009, the most sought after music seminar in West Africa dubbed “Bass Clinic” was birthed by one of the most outstanding Bass players and entrepreneur Opoku Agyemang Sanaa.

The maiden edition saw a turn up of about 150 people only. The vision of the music clinic was to equip and train gospel musicians (singers, instrumentalists, event organizers, producers etc.)

Bass Clinic is a Christian music clinic which brings musicians and individuals together from all over Ghana and beyond. It seeks to educate, train, unearth talents and entertain participants. The Clinic has grown in recognition, organization and audience base.

The name “Bass Clinic” was adopted for this event because it was birthed by a bass player. It has grown over the years to become one of the most educative, entertaining and informative gathering of musicians in Africa.

In 2012, the event saw an attendance of about 1200 people. Among these were renowned musicians and bands including Sonnie Badu, Cwesi Oteng, Joe Mettle, Eugene Zuta, Kofi Emmanuel(Osibisa UK), Manu Falla(Benin) etc. Since then, it was good to say “Bass Clinic is indeed here to stay”. People who attended left the event with lots of information and ideas.

The previous edition saw an attendance of about 2000 people. With its workshop, split session and jam session, Bass Clinic has equipped and given many opportunities to different musicians and bands to perform and display their talents.

This year’s edition is scheduled to be held on the 13th of February, 2016 at the Tesano Baptist Church. Resource Persons include some of Ghana’s Renowned Musicians and Producers which include ace musician Joe Mettle, Cwesi Oteng, Reuel Kofi Dartey (Canada), Ace Ankomah, David “Kaywa” Kyei and internationally acclaimed Music Director Mr Isaac Aryee.

It would also feature some of Ghana and Africa’s Best Bands and Instrumentalists who have much influence in the music industry and purchase style/ pattern of musicians and individuals.

The jam session will see performances from different bands across the country. Among them are Patch Bay Band, PL Crew, Fusion, Victor Dey, Affreh Junior, Mark AMoo, Jay ZYmera and many more. Also performing is the award winning GLO ambassador, bass player and producer from Nigeria, Mallam T Bass.

This year’s edition has been well recognized by all musicians around the country and beyond and is expected to see massive attendance. Packages include a workshop, split session (where musicians meet resource persons for a one-on-one session) and a jam session where selected bands perform.
