Wa All Stars General Manager sets Sight on continental football

Wa All Stars General Manager, Seth Paanwuni has set his sight on continental football ahead of the impending 2016 domestic top flight.

The ambitiuos General manager for the top flight side has revealed his dream of sealing African football when the new football season kicks off.

The General Manager for the Wa based premier league side leaned on the bussiest transfer window in the history of the side to raise the bar ahead of the season.

Wa All Stars beefed up the playing squad with nine players as they look to improve on their strong end to the 2014/15 FCPPL.

The Malik Jabir Park based side capped their transfer activities with the inclusion of Division One League 25-goal machine Joel Fameyeh but their manager believes the overall team work should be premium rather than individual glories.

“We want to win the league and go to Africa. The emphasis should be on winning matches rather than individual glories. We want to take the pressure away from the players ahead of the season”, Seth told sports crusader.

Jimmy Corbblah’s charges will be denied the services of Emmanuel Gyamfi, Stephen Nyarko, Joshua Otoo and Richard Akroffi when the new season kicks in less than one month.

GFA Ag. Scribe - Emmanuel Gyimah takes a bow

Ag. General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mr. Emmanuel Gyimah, has taken a bow after two years of dedicated service to the nations football controlling body.

The GFA at a colourful ceremony on Wednesday, in honour of the outgoing head of secretariat of the GFA, lauded the qualities of Mr. Emmanuel Gyimah and described him as a succesful football administrators.

The President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, eulogised out-going General Secretary of the Association, for his immense contribution to the success of the FA.

“He is an honest person, fortright, meticulous and a hard-working man.

“We are proud of him and proud of his outstanding accomplishments as a staff of the GFA”. Added the FA boss.

The GFA President also described Gyimah as a good example of staff to work with and urged the staff of the Association to emulate his exemplary qualities.

“On behalf of the executive committee and the GFA, I wish you all the best in all your future endeavours，” the GFA president added.

The out-going General Secretary was grateful to the GFA for the honour bestowed on him and advised staff of the GFA to remain dedicated to their work.

Mr Emmanuel Gyimah worked at the Greater Accra FA Secretariat before moving to the National Secretariat where he rose from the position of a Deputy General Secretary to become the head of the Secretariat.
